- WP1: Design by Marco Voli last modified 2006-08-09 10:39
The design will address three main issues: architecture design; the WSRF compliant interfaces design; the web interfaces design.
- WP2 Implementation by Marco Voli last modified 2006-08-09 10:39
The implementation phase will focus on two main areas: the user-to-Grid interaction processes; the implementation of the core workflow engine and the related validation and life-cycle services; It will imply both development of new software components and re-factoring of components within Unicore/GS and EnginFrame.
- WP3 Test with real applications by Marco Voli last modified 2006-08-09 10:39
This WP has three main objectives: test the software components by mean of software test best basic practices like functional specifications, formal entry and exit criteria, functional test variation, multi-platform testing; test the software components by mean of software best foundational practices like user scenarios, usability testing, requirements for test planning; deploy A-WARE technology in real industrial use case scenario.
- WP4 Standardisation by Marco Voli last modified 2006-08-09 10:39
This WP has two main objectives: to influence the standardisation process for selected Grid standards; to be active participants in relevant working groups of standards organizations, especially GGF, and if possible take leadership roles. The foreseen topical areas are Open Grid Service Architecture (OGSA-WG), Enterprise Grid Requirements (EGR-RG), and Grid Computing Environments (GCE-RG). These areas are mainly covered by the standards organizations mainly by GGF, but also by IETF, OASIS and W3C.
- WP5 Exploitation and dissemination by Marco Voli last modified 2006-08-09 10:39
The key objectives of the exploitation will be: Promote the A-WARE technology for the target markets; Recruit new partners. The dissemination objectives are: Creating awareness of A-WARE; disseminate the information on ongoing technical developments; work closely together with potential end-users; Linkage with other IST Grid-related ; connect to the Grid community worldwide; provide information on the potentials of Grid computing; general offering of technical computing-services.
- WP6 Collaboration with IST Grid-related projects by Marco Voli last modified 2006-08-09 10:40
Exploitation of synergies / technical concertation; Joint fora for exchange and dissemination; Co-ordination of standardisation efforts; Research inventories and repository; Collaboration on roadmaps; Indicators and impact assessment; Training activities.
- WP7 Management by Marco Voli last modified 2006-08-09 10:40
The day-to-day management of the project is performed, tracking of progress and consumed resources. This includes collection and submission of deliverables, submission of regular progress and management reports, and the organisation of project meetings and reviews. Furthermore the financial aspects like cost statements and payments will be handled. In case of deviations from the project plan the commission will be promptly notifies and corrective actions will be taken in close co-operation with the project officer and the A-WARE Project Co-ordination Committee.
